The Cardio24 is a personalized, non-invasive, handheld heart monitoring device. It allows users to measure and record electrical activities of the heart anywhere and anytime. Electrocardiogram (ECG) signals are obtained via specially designed electrodes without any complicated wires or conducting gel. Users only need to press the Start button twice, and gently place their thumbs on the electrodes. The device will automatically start the tracing of ECG signals. Cardio24 records 'Modified ECG signal', equivalent to standard ECG lead (Lead one/Lead I), through the thumbs. (Note 1) Each measurement only requires 30 seconds and 15 continuous seconds of ECG signals will be recorded. Average heart rate (HR), ST value and QRS interval will be calculated automatically, and these parameters will be displayed instantly on the LCD screen for users to understand their cardiac conditions easily. (Note 2) If the environment or the user's condition is not favorable using the thumbs, external auxiliary electrodes can be replaced to provide the same measurements and recordings. Note1. Cardio24 mobile ECG only uses two electrodes to measure cardiac activities, unlike traditional ECG which requires at least 3 electrodes. ECG measured by Cardio24 mobile ECG is a modified Lead I ECG. Note2. The parameters measured by Cardio24 mobile ECG are only for the user's reference. For interpretation of the parameters, please consult professional physicians. An additional standard ECG may need to be performed. Cardio24 mobile ECG Machine can transfer all recorded files to a personal computer through simple connection of USB transmission interface for easy viewing, editing, recording and printing of ECG reports. It is operated by two replaceable AAA alkaline batteries. 2. Who Needs Cardio24 mobile ECG? Cardio24 does NOT provide diagnostic or analytical capabilities. It is used for monitoring purposes ONLY. The followings are some of its applications: Monitoring electrical activities of the heart It is suitable for patient, who has risks of rhythm and conduction disturbance, and who needs periodic monitoring of heart during normal daily activities. Management of ECG Recordings Long term recordings of heart activities for personal home care health management. References for Physicians The convenience of the Cardio24 mobile ECG provides the physicians with patients ECG measured during normal daily activities.
